Season 1 Impact

From Pilot
To proof

In just 12 weeks, 100% of participants — and our entire leadership team — entered therapy. Two went on to enrol in Master’s of Counselling programs.

Proof of concept
human first

In 2022, Let’s Talk Access launched as a 3-part podcast mini-series funded by TELUS Storyhive. We followed three people in real time as they tried to access care.

Every participant — and every member of our leadership team — was in therapy.

One participant joined our Season 2 leadership team.

Both that participant and a leadership team member enrolled in Master’s of Counselling programs.

WHY WE CAN'T WAIT

Regulations and Gaps
Anyone can call themselves a counsellor, and coaches are performant therapy; public literacy is urgent.
System Strain
Waitlists grow, costs rise, and people are left in limbo.
Proven Momentum
Season 1 showed a 100% therapy uptake rate and measurable participant transformation.

On Why Building The Bridge That Keeps People From Being Left Behind Matters

Let’s Talk Access is a 16-week online group program, podcast series, and free downloadable guide - designed to make navigating mental healthcare less about luck and more about literacy, confidence and choice.

We bring together people to learn how to ask sharper questions, read between the lines of what’s offered, and recognize when a model or a practitioner isn’t the right fit.

This isn’t therapy. It’s the literacy, tools, and community you should have before therapy – the missing pre-therapy step that levels the playing field and keeps people from getting lost or hurt in the system.

In Canada some provinces still have no regulation for counselling. Anyone can call themselves a therapist.

The public is vulnerable to harm — from mismatched care to outright exploitation.

Most people don’t know the questions to ask until after they’ve been burned. We’re changing that.

The downloadable access guide mirrors the group’s curriculum.

So anyone, anywhere, can follow along for free.

The project runs in real time.

As the group learns, our podcast listeners learn alongside them – through lived stories, expert interviews, and conversations that expose the gaps, name the politics, and highlight what’s working.

WHY IT WORKS

Our
Process
in Action

Participants start by mapping their own histories, strengths, and needs. This builds a shared foundation and helps people see they’re not alone.

Together, we break down how therapy models actually work — and the cultural values they’re rooted in. Participants discover what feels like a fit, and what doesn’t.

With new tools, participants create a search strategy that’s realistic and values-aligned. By the end, they’re ready to act — and confident in the choices they’re making.
